This week, Andy, Nate, and I discuss Breath of the Wild’s story. So, of course, there are going to be some spoilers. For the most part, it’s all that we talk about, so if you don’t want to hear anything about it or have anything potentially spoiled for you, then it’s safe to say you’ll want to avoid this one (just set a reminder to come back once you’ve finished the story!) You won’t hurt anyone’s feelings but mine if you skip this week, but I do encourage you to give it a listen. Next week’s is going to be a bit political, so stay tuned!

    • I’m personally scared. 😛 But then again, I’ve rarely if ever gotten political on ZI… so we’ll see. Maybe it’s not that bad

      • Thomas Foolery

Oh whatever. We all know it’s just going to be the same tired old “can Link be an gril?” trite ZI spews non-stop. Like it just can’t help itself.

Like, god damn, don’t you realize that most people are just freaking sick of it already?

        • “Can Link be a girl” isn’t really a political issue. I am thinking he either wants to talk about actual in-game politics (the kingdom of hyrule, the various races etc), or he wants to delve into some off topic stuff, like why Colin left KFG. That entire topic (Link being a chick) hasn;t been a topic of discussion here in what, months? And I know alfred, so I doubt that’s where he is going. He’s talking politics here.

          • Greenbeans

You misquoted. Tommy clearly said can Link be a “gril”, not “can Link be a girl”.

        • Andy Spiteri

That’s a social issue, not a political one. I’m not sure what it’s about either, but Alfred ordered us all red hats that say ‘Make Hyrule Great Again’, so there’s a tip for ya.

    • Alfred Tabaks

I’m just happy you listened to the whole thing because that’s at the end!

      • Thomas Foolery

It’s also the last sentence in the paragraph under the video.

    • Valwin Mediaz

They wont stop with this crap this game shows that Link been a girl is not needed.
they have one sick obsession or they gona go full Anita and whine about MUH SEXISM

I’ll avoid spoilers but I will say the story is pretty good for a Zelda game. When the game starts I thought it would be the old cliche of Link saving Zelda from Ganon…again but as you progress through the game and unlock the memories, Zelda is less of a damsel in distress and more of the victim. I would argue that the Princess in this game is even better then the Skyward Sword version.

    • Greenbeans

      Damsels in distress are victims.

      • Oscar Yasser Garcia Juallek

Yeah. Thing is, what he means is that she’s a victim of a tragedy in a different sense than “I’m a helpless imprisoned idiot”, that happens to be more relatable

  • Greenbeans

Don’t worry, guys. There’s no spoilers. Because there’s no story. Lol

It’s an hour plus of Nate (and two other people clearly piggybacking on his celebrity status) staring at the camera speechless.

    • Andy Spiteri

Didn’t work though, I thought if I podcasted with Nate and didn’t talk for an hour I’d land movie roles but my agent hasn’t called me yet!

      • Alfred Tabaks

Andy, you mean you haven’t been rocketed to stardom based on Nate’s star power? I’ve been getting calls left and right from Brad Pitt asking me to hang out!

  • Greenbeans

All these guys seem deathly afraid of looking at the camera.

    • Andy Spiteri

      Multitasking is great!
