Hello again, readers of the Zelda Informer universe. Week 22 of the Fan Art Showdown has arrived, and we’ve got a sizzling hot competition! This week we’re pitting Princess Zelda against her look-a-like counterpart, Princess Hilda, but before we get any further, let’s take a quick flashback to Week 21…

There is probably nothing more hilarious than an outrageous Zelda .gif. In fact, think I could watch a loop of Link throwing a pig off a cliff for hours at a time. For all the Zelda .gif fans in the world, Wii U Daily recently collected 30 of The Legend of Zelda‘s finest and funniest .gifs. Spanning several games in the series, as well as animations and fan art, this .gif collection is sure to give you a laugh…

Welcome back to the Fan Art Showdown! Before we get onto the fun, I’d like a moment to announce that I will be taking over this weekly feature – but fear not – you’ll love it just as much! If you missed last week’s competition, you can check it out here. As usual, we had two amazing pieces of artwork, but only one has tasted the sweet nectar of victory…

The Zelda franchise within itself is a pretty vast universe of original art concepts. From that, the fanbase has spring-boarded into an explosion of new and exciting art in as many styles as there are grains of sand on a beach. What you’re about to see is an excellent product of one very talented artist…

Yep, I’m running the Fan Art Showdown for yet another week. Anyone want to take it over for me? Anyone? No..? Okay…

Last week’s winner is Skilar, whose submission of the Fierce Deity won by 22%. Way to go, Skilar! Before I announce this week’s contestants, take a gander at the rules and regulations of this fine Weekly Feature…

Well, this is awkward. Last week, I announced my departure from this weekly feature, and stated that a new host would be stepping up to take my place. As it turns out, I will continue to be your host until someone on the Zelda Informer staff decides they would like to replace me. That has yet to happen, and I do not want to see the Fan Art Showdown just come to a halt. Therefore, you guys are stuck with me for a while longer!

I am also very pleased to announce last week’s winner of the Fan Art Showdown…

Hello everybody and welcome to the Fan Art Showdown. Today, I have some news that may or may not impact you. I will be stepping down as host of this weekly feature, and will be passing the torch on to another member of the Zelda Informer staff to run. The Fan Art Showdown was a fun little project when I started it, and I am very pleased to have seen it grow and gain more attention among you, the fans….

Edit: The poll has been fixed.  If you participated already, please vote again to have your entry recorded!

Hello everybody, and welcome to the Fan Art Showdown. Today, I have some news that you may or may not care about. I will be stepping down as host of this weekly feature, and will be passing the torch on to another member of the Zelda Informer staff. The Fan Art Showdown was a fun little project when I started it, and I am very pleased to have seen it grow and gain more attention among you, the fans. One of the most memorable battles in Ocarina of Time is Link’s duel with Dark Link, the personification of our hero’s dark side. As they say, you are your own worst enemy, and Dark Link lends truth to that saying with his mind-bending move mirroring. Evoking the high-stakes emotions of this battle is Adam Scythe’s water color speed painting Dark Link vs. Link...

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted a card deck in a Zelda theme. While one doesn’t exist officially out of Nintendo, fans across the globe have been creating their very own for years. The latest efforts are really impressive and I couldn’t help but get a little chuckle out of Tingle being the joker card. Have a look at a bunch of cards from the deck in our gallery.
