Skyward Sword Goddess Cubes Guide
Scattered across the surface world of Skyward Sword are Goddess Cubes, ancient artifacts containing treasures for the taking. In order to claim the secrets inside, you'll need to use a Skyward Strike to unlock these cubes. This will send a treasure chest up to one of the sky islands in the world above, which you can then fly to in order to claim the goods.

Faron Woods Goddess Cubes
So far we've tracked down eight Goddess Cubes in the Faron Woods. We'll update this entry as we come across more!
Faron Woods Goddess Cube 1
Location: Deep Woods
Prerequisites: Slingshot
Treasure: Adventure Pouch Expansion
Treasure Location: Pumpkin Landing
How to unseal: As you approach the Skyview Temple, you'll meet the quirky Goron archaeologist Gorko. He'll talk about ancient treasures and point you to this Goddess Cube.

Treasure Location: South of Skyloft
How to unseal: Just outside the Skyview Temple entrance, you'll find a Goddess Cube that's ripe for the taking.
Faron Woods Goddess Cube 3
Location: Skyview Spring
Prerequisites: Defeat Ghirahim
Treasure: 300 Rupees
Treasure Location: Pumpkin Landing, just above the entrance
How to unseal: There's a Goddess Cube behind the altar in Skyview Spring at the heart of the Skyview Temple.

How to unseal: The Goddess Cube is on a ledge facing the entrance to Deep Woods. You can dive down to it from the top of the Great Tree and land safely with your Sailcloth to unseal it.

How to unseal: About midway through the trip to the Water Dragon's lair, you'll reach a cave where you can hop out of the water and explore for some treasure. Look for a Goddess Cube on a ledge above and to the right of the way forward.

How to unseal: There's a Clawshot target on one of the roots of the Great Tree. Use the Clawshots to reach it and send a Skyward Strike at the Goddess Cube there.

How to unseal: Outside the Skyview Temple, examine the wall on the right side of the entrance. There are vines growing there that you can use your Clawshots to pull yourself to. From there, keep climbing to the overlook above the entrance and unseal the Goddess Cube there.

How to unseal: In the area outside the entrance to the Ancient Cistern, face the Water Dragon's lair and look up and to the left with your Clawshots equipped. Latch onto the vines here and pull yourself up to the ledge to unleash another Goddess Cube.

Treasure Location: North of Skyloft, nearby Bamboo Island
How to unseal: Head north from the Volcano Entry Bird Statue and drop down from the first ledge and you'll see a Goddess Cube ripe for the picking and out in the open.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 2
Location: Eldin Volcano
Prerequisites: None
Treasure: Small Seed Satchel
Treasure Location: Southwest of Skyloft, west of Fun Fun Island
How to unseal: As you approach the entrance to the caves beneath Eldin Volcano, head clockwise around the ledge overlooking the air vents that carry you into the cave and you'll find a Goddess Cube lying in wait.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 3
Location: Eldin Volcano Cave
Prerequisites: None
Treasure: 300 Rupees
Treasure Location: Isle of Songs, The Thunderhead
How to unseal: As you drop down into the Eldin Volcano caves, skydive down to the stalagmite with this Goddess Cube on top of it.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 4
Location: Eldin Volcano
Prerequisites: None
Treasure: 300 Rupees
Treasure Location: Bamboo Island
How to unseal: Drop a Bomb Flower onto a steam geyser west of the Earth Temple entrance so that it floats up to blast away a pile of debris up above. Doing so will clear the way to this Goddess Cube.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 5
Location: Eldin Volcano
Prerequisites: None
Treasure: Treasure Medal
Treasure Location: Northeast of Skyloft; use the vines at the rear of the island to shimmy down
How to unseal: From the Bokoblin base east of the Earth Temple entrance, head east from the toppled tower bridge and you'll see a Goddess Cube on a ledge overlooking the lava flow.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 6
Location: Eldin Volcano
Prerequisites: Water Dragon's Scale
Treasure: Heart Piece
Treasure Location: Skyloft, accessible via the underwater tunnel
How to unseal: Along the long forking sandy slope you slide down to reach one of the pieces of the Earth Temple Key, one of the ledges accessible from the left side has a Goddess Cube atop it. Use the steam vent at the first left fork to give yourself enough altitude to reach it.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 7
Location: Volcano Summit
Prerequisites: Fireshield Earrings

Treasure Location: Just outside the Fire Dragon's lair
How to unseal: As you cross the lava pits outside the Fire Dragon's lair, you'll see a Goddess Cube positioned precariously on one of the nearby magma formations.
Eldin Volcano Goddess Cube 8

Prerequisites: Fireshield Earrings, Clawshots
Treasure: Heart Piece

How to unseal: Look down into the pit from the area where you find water for the parched statues. You'll see a series of spires lined with vines trailing off to the right. Skydive off the cliff here and guide yourself onto a shorter spire below with a Goddess Cube atop it. You'll need the Clawshots to get back up.

Location: Lanayru Mines
Prerequisites: Bombs
Treasure: 100 Rupees
Treasure Location: Northwest of Skyloft, behind the bombable wall
How to unseal: Behind the initial landing point in Lanayru Mines there's a Goddess Cube just waiting to be zapped.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 2
Location: Lanayru Desert
Prerequisites: Hook Beetle
Treasure: Heart Medal
Treasure Location: South of Skyloft, on the outside ledge
How to unseal: As you cross the first section of sinksand where you need to use Ampilus shells as stepping stones, look for this Goddess Cube on safe footing as you make your way across.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 3
Location: Temple of Time
Prerequisites: Hook Beetle
Treasure: Heart Piece
Treasure Location: Beedle's Island
How to unseal: As you ride the minecart back towards the desert after discovering the ruined entrance of the Temple of Time, you can strike a Goddess Cube as you pass.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 4
Location: Lanayru Desert
Prerequisites: Clawshots

How to unseal: Once you get the Clawshots, head for the area behind the cracked wall you blew up to get a Heart Piece and follow the long canyon lined with Clawshot targets to a Goddess Cube at the very end.

How to unseal: On your first trip through Lanayru Desert, an unreachable Goddess Cube teases you from atop a ruined wall. You can't get it at first, but with the Clawshots you can grapple up to the top of the wall using a Clawshot target.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 6
Location: Ancient Harbor, Lanayru Sand Sea

How to unseal: At the Ancient Harbor, check the cave to the north of the the docks for a Goddess Cube.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 7
Location: Skipper's Retreat, Lanayru Sand Sea
Prerequisites: Clawshots

How to unseal: At the end of the bridge guarded by the Moblin, point your Clawshots to a target to the southwest. Pull yourself up and warp the Goddess Cube up to the Sky to claim the treasure.
Lanayru Desert Goddess Cube 8
Location: Pirate Stronghold, Lanayru Sand Sea
Prerequisites: Clawshots, activate stronghold
Treasure: Heart Piece

How to unseal: Once you've fully activated the Pirate Stronghold, use your Clawshots to scale it and blast a Goddess Cube at the top.

Location: Lanayru Gorge, nearby the Life Tree
