1- Recover Ledd's Bomb Bag.
Proceed straight ahead, saving if you'd like, and hop across the solid stepping stones to make it across the magma. Fire Keese and Chu Chus plague the path, but you've fought plenty of these by now. Digging the hole at the first safe landing reveals an air stream that will carry you up to a 20 Rupee piece. Otherwise hop across the stones to the left and you'll find a discouraged Mogma. His partner, Ledd, has gone deeper into the temple but he can't catch up.
Head back into the previous room and climb the stairs on your left. Lava geysers will toss some additional hardened platforms into the air so you can cross, but be quick and careful so as not to get burned. At the other side, cut down two of the ropes holding the drawbridge in place with your sword, then aim your Beetle at a third, positioned out of reach next to the bridge itself. This will give you passage to the next room.
Across the bridge you'll meet a Lizalfos. He's agile but kind of stupid, and you can trick him into hunkering down and revealing a weak point easily just by striking at him without hitting his armguard. Once he's dealt with, aim a Slingshot seed at one of the Bomb Flowers adorning the statue head floating in the lava nearby to blow it up, releasing a sphere you can use to cross the lava.
Lizalfos
Lizalfos are fairly agile warriors, but their pride can get the better of them. They carry a shield-like gauntlet for defense. They're fats enough to slide out of the way of most of your attacks, but if you successfully dodge one of their hits they'll instinctively taunt you to try to intimidate you. Don't let this tactic distract you, though - go in for the kill!

Roll your way counter-clockwise around the room, flattening the frog-like Magma Spumes as you go. Try not to move too quickly, as you might lose your balance, and make your way to the Mogma to the right. Hop onto the floor next to him and he'll explain that he is Ledd, the partner of the other Mogma from earlier, and that he's lost his Bomb Bag. It's fairly easy to find - just crawl through the nearby crawlspace, take out the enemies, grab a Bomb Flower, and roll it back through the crawlspace to detonate the pile of boulders blocking the door.
Magma Spume
Magma Spumes swim around in the lava, only popping out to spit a fireball your way. Most of y your standard equipment won't suffice, but if you chuck a Bomb their way you can blow them right out of the lava. Be careful not to get hit with one of their flame attacks in the process, as any Bomb you have at the ready will explode instantly if it comes in contact with fire.

Inside you'll fight a pair of Lizalfos, and if you beat them you'll get the Bomb Bag as a prize. If you try to return it to Ledd, he'll give you leave to borrow it and then change his mind and say you can have it for keeps!
Bomb Bag
The Bomb Bag, given to you by Ledd as thanks for helping him out in the Earth Temple, holds all your Bombs. You can only carry a limited amount at the start, so be sure to increase its capacity whenever you can!

2 - Grab the Dungeon Map to reveal a hidden passage.
Crawl over to the Bomb Flower crop and stock up your Bomb Bag before proceeding. Once it's full, hop on the sphere once again, this time moving clockwise around the room. On the far west side, dismount and approach the hardened platform that periodically gets lifted up by the magma stream. Toss a Bomb onto it just as it's about to be raised and it'll blow up the rock wall up above, revealing a chest containing a Golden Skull.
Hop back on your sphere and continue rolling around to the north until you approach a target-like switch protruding from a blockage in the path. Roll directly into it until you've pushed it into its slot and you'll raise a nearby platform, creating a stair up to a door up above. It's not quite enough to reach the door - you'll need to raise another set of stairs first - but it's a start.
At the northwest corner of the room you'll see a chest on a raised platform that contains a Blue Bird Feather. It's a rare Treasure used for lots of good equipment later on, so pocket it and hold onto it. From here, roll your way over to the central platform and climb the staircase to the west. It's been collapsed about midway, with a pile of debris blocking the way forward that you can easily clear with a Bomb. Another Lizalfos waits at the top of the stairs - have you gotten the hang of fighting them yet?
A lava pool awaits in the next room. You can hop on the hardened platforms to cross, but some of them will sink, so be quick. Bokoblins are fairly easy to kill by this point, especially since knocking them into the lava takes them out instantly, but Magma Spumes are another story. If you get close enough to toss a Bomb at one of them, have it ready before you jump on the nearest platform. That way you can toss the explosives as soon as you come within range.
At the far end of the room is a rock platform that periodically gets shot up by a burst of magma. Hop onto it when it's at its lowest level and ride it up to the Dungeon Map.
3 - Blast your way through the lava flow.
Now return to the central chamber and work your way counter-clockwise, past Ledd, until you reach what appears to be a dead-end blocked by debris. You can confirm that you're in the right place by checking your Dungeon Map, which will show a hidden passage behind the wall. Look at the outer wall - it's cracked from stress. A couple Bomb blasts will remove the wall, revealing the secret room.
Avoid the lava-spewing statue and continue down the lava flow until you reach a makeshift platform populated by Bokoblins. You can kill them, but your sphere can't make it past - unless you blow up the fake wall to the left to make a way around. Take this roundabout path and you'll be free to continue - for a time. Eventually you'll reach a large red gate that blocks the way. Use your Beetle to cut the ropes holding the gate shut. One is in plain sight on your side of the partition, and the other is on the opposite side. Guide your Beetle through the tunnel nearby the Bird Statue you can see from below and curve it around to strike the second rope.
Keep rolling over Spumes and beware of the dragon statue up ahead. It'll leak out magma at intervals, meaning you have to time your approach carefully or else it'll sear you to the bone. Just past the statue is a narrow lava bridge. It's not too tricky, but it's a little windy so if you don't have a steady handle on controlling the sphere you might have some trouble.
You're now back in the central chamber on the other side of the debris that blocked your way earlier. Roll over to the second massive target switch and shove it into place to activate the rest of the stairs. This will give you a way up into the heart of the temple.
4 - Ascend the slopes and recover the Dragon Sculpture.
Sprint as fast as you can up the slope, avoiding the boulders rolling at you. There's an alcove on the left-hand side that you can use to recover stamina as well as avoid the barrage of larger boulders, which is more difficult to dodge. At the top of the slope, you'll see a second slope as well as a crawlspace off to the right. Head through the crawlspace and climb the stairs to get an overview of the slope. There's a cracked wall that you can reach with a Bomb toss, which will give you a safe haven akin to the alcove you used earlier. You'll need to let the Bomb tick a little before you hurl it onto the slope, otherwise it will roll past its target before it explodes.
Use the alcove to rest and hide so you can make it past the boulders, then sprint the rest of the way up to reach a giant dragon's head. It's spewing lava right now, so you can't pass it, but if you head up the stairs leading in the opposite direction, you'll reach a winding slope you can scale with the help of some conveniently-placed Stamina Fruit. Grab the Dragon Sculpture from the big chest here - it's the key to the boss chamber ahead.
Unfortunately, when you grab the key, the snake statue above you spits out a giant boulder! Make a run for it down the slope and sprint along the stairs to the side once you get the chance. The boulder will keep going and crash right into the dragon statue's mouth, plugging the lava flow and granting you access to the boss door. Save at the Bird Statue, then twist the Dragon Sculpture so that it clicks into place to unlock the door.
5 - Defeat Scaldera.
Ghirahim will appear and proclaim his anger at having just missed Zelda. He summons a mighty demonic fiend to destroy you so he can blow off some steam and then teleports away.

Ghirahim has created a fiery demon out of that massive boulder that nearly crushed you earlier in order to destroy you. Fortunately your Bombs look like they might be able to do some damage...

Scaldera is a giant ball of magma encased in a hard rocky shell. It'll stomp up the narrow arena towards you in an attempt to squash you flat, but after awhile it'll slow its ascent and start pulsing with heat energy. That's your cue to toss a Bomb at it. This will stun it, causing it to roll back down the slope. Make chase, for when it hits the bottom, it'll inhale hot air and prepare to fire a barrage of giant fireballs your way. Toss a Bomb into its mouth before it can do so. This will stun it, breaking off pieces of its shell and exposing its inner eye, which is its weak point. Track the eye with Z-targeting and hack away at it with your sword, getting in as many hits as possible before it recovers.
The process will repeat itself, but Scaldera will grow more and more aggressive as the fight wears on. As you chip away more of the rocky shell, its eye will also be much more diligent about avoiding your slashes, so you'll need to be quick and precise to make short work of it. A few rounds of damage and Scaldera will fizzle out, revealing a Heart Container and opening the door at the top of the incline. Inside is the Earth Spring, where you barely get a glimpse of Zelda before she disappears along with the mysterious figure from earlier.
Just like at Skyview Spring, you'll need to charge up your Skyward Strike to activate the Goddess Crest here. This time, you'll earn the Amber Tablet as a reward for completing the trials. This tablet works like the others to unlock the final surface region: Lanayru Desert.
