It’s been about a month now, and the love for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild shows no signs of slowing down. Critics and fans are in agreement that the game is one of the best in the series, but even the most ardent supporters agree that there are some things about the game that could use some tweaks (*cough* item breakage *cough*). We view our favorite games holistically, knowing that their flaws could be minor, acceptable, or…

Emulation is an aspect of gaming which is considered a legal gray area. It’s mostly illegal, yet it is incredibly easy to achieve. It’s basically entry level piracy, and I’m sure many gamers would love to have a Nintendo Switch emulator working on their PC. Currently there is no such thing as a Switch emulator, but there are fake ones out there. The Federal Trade Commission has stepped in and offered a statement regarding these fake emulators, as well as…

A publication known for their connection to inside sources within Nintendo, Eurogamer, is back with another report. This time it is about a mini Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After the discontinuation the NES Classic Edition, some speculate this new SNES Classic Edition may be the reason why the company decided to halt production of the system. “Nintendo’s plans for SNES mini are also a major reason why last year’s NES mini did not see a reprieve from discontinuation, Eurogamer understands, despite…

There are people who seek out to beat a game as fast as possible, with set rules or just going through it without glitches as fast as they can. The following people who I am going to talk about put time, effort, practice into the games that they speedrun. We at Zelda Informer highly suggest you give these guys a view and see how fast they can go on a Zelda game. Without further ado here is the interviews, Linkus7…

Buckle in, everyone, cause this is gonna be a long one. This post is gonna be part analysis, part fan-fiction, all spoilers, and all awesome, so without any further ado, let’s get right into it. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an amazing game with a peerless open world and an unrivaled sense of exploration. Never the less, the plot of Breath of the Wild has left some of the hardcore Zelda fans a little… wanting. I…

For as long as video games have been around, there have been people trying to beat them in the fastest time possible. This has led the speedrunning community to find the craziest glitches, exploits, and tricks. In the case for The Legend of Zelda franchise, these findings culminated in tricks such as Back in Time for Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword, Wrong Warping in Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, and even Arbitrary Code Execution in the original The Legend…

The official Japan Zelda Twitter page has unveiled more detailed photos of the three new Link amiibo’s coming out this Summer. Just recently announced close to a week ago during a Nintendo Direct, these three new Zelda amiibo include Link’s from three of the main titles in the series. These games of course include the heroes from Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. The pictures of all three brand-spanking new Zelda amiibo can be checked out in the gallery…

During the latest Nintendo Direct, the Big N showed off some pretty cool stuff. We got a good look at the sequel to Splatoon, we got to see some pretty cool indie games, and we were told we’d be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kirby (okay, maybe that last one’s not that cool…). We also got a whole bunch of new amiibo news, chief among them the new line of Zelda amiibo. Now, when I first saw them of course…

Happy Monday, everyone! After a week off, Zelda Informer’s beloved Caption Contest has returned. And with its return comes another goofy image from our favorite game series. The Hyrule of Breath of the Wild is filled with interesting characters, some quirky, some lovable, some that are just a little crazy. One such character that I would place in that latter category is Cado of Kakariko Village, a man that we come to learn is a little cuckoo for Cuccos. Most…

The week’s Wii U eShop results are in, and to the surprise of very few, Breath of the Wild took the top spot in sales. The most recent Zelda title has been selling extremely well, and seems to have caused a surge of interest in the older entries of the franchise. Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask are in the top 10 as well, with a total of seven Zelda titles in the top 20. Breath of the Wild has several entries in the videos chart as well, as the Accolades,…
