Just in case we’d forgotten about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles, which as of today sits at about a week and a half away from its April 6 release here in the states, Nintendo decided to release a trailer showcasing some of the game’s good reviews and exceptional elements. You’ll see brief looks at the game’s large, breathtaking environments, exploration and customization options like foraging and gem crafting, and the streamlined real-time battle system, which brings the best of online and offline RPG combat together in one interesting package.
Now-retired editor Dathen Boccabella put together a comprehensive review of the game when it came to his native Australia six months ago, but as someone who’s played (and enjoyed) similar games in recent years (Final Fantasy XII, which often gets compared to Xenoblade, may be my favorite JRPG of all time), I’ll be giving it a second look in a couple weeks.
