Looking to trade in your Wii after you get a Wii U, but worried about losing all those downloadable games you paid for? Well worry no more! ABC News sat down with Scott Moffitt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, and he confirmed for us that your Wii Virtual Console games will be transferable to the Wii U. We don’t know yet how this transfer system will work, given that the two consoles have a very different online setup, but I’m sure Nintendo will find a way for everything to work out smoothly. Great job by Nintendo of continuing to show they prioritize customer satisfaction by not making us discard or repurchase our old favorites when we upgrade from the Wii experience to the Wii U!

Update: We’re hearing now that saves are transferable as well.
