Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword? The Great Wii Debate Rages On

Okay, so it’s not entirely fair to call this the great Wii debate, because technically speaking Twilight Princess is a GameCube game, and a fantastic GameCube game at that. However, for the purposes of this debate, it doesn’t really matter which console you played the game on. What matters is what game is better?
Twilight Princess of course has a strong following, and why shouldn’t it? It’s the second best selling Zelda game of all time. Skyward Sword on the other hand was more revolutionary, but also significantly less popular. So if this was nothing but a pure popularity contest we know the winner. No, instead I ask everyone to fairy judge the actual performance, experiences, and all that and decide: Which game is better than the other?
For me it’s Skyward Sword hands down. I love me some Twilight Princess, but reality is that I enjoyed Skyward Sword so much more. It felt fresh, it was different… and I loved how the characters seemed to have personality. All that said, and I haven’t touched on the best aspect: Combat. I could talk for many moons about why Skyward Sword is arguably superior to most of the series, but it’s most definitely, in my humble opinion, better than Twilight Princess. How about you?
