The popular Timesplitters FPS series has been dormant for a while now. Needless to say, fans have vocalized their interest for a fourth entry. While developer Crytek had previously stated they would consider making a new game if the large audience made itself apparent, they seem to have re-evaluated the situation.
According to Crytek’s CEO, Cevat Yerli, “While the volume of responses was quite high, we feel it’s not high enough yet.” This is somewhat surprising, considering the recent fan movement 100,000 Strong for Timesplitters 4 has been fairly well-publicized and successful. That said, it looks like the fans’ valiant efforts might not have been for nothing- Yerli added that “We might have some surprises coming soon.”
