• Last week, we decided to ask all of you to lend your opinions (and your votes) to finally decide the greatest Zelda boss of all time…at least, until opinions sporadically change again. Anyway, the results are in! And boy, there is a very clear winner (going right from last week’s tie to this week’s landslide). So which boss took home the gold? Was it an iconic villain like Ganondorf or Zant? An old classic like Gohma or Molgera? A newer contender like Moldarach? Look below for the results to the biggest poll yet, and to see who received the award for this week’s winning comment!

This week’s results were a bit choppy and all over a place, with one boss receiving a massive slice of the pie, and all the others getting either negligible results or tying with each other (there are multiple third and fourth places, in other words). And so, here are the bosses that, while did not win, received a notable chunk of the vote: Ganon (Ocarina of Time), Majora’s Mask/Incarnation/Wrath (Majora’s Mask), Argorok (Twilight Princess), Zant (Twilight Princess). And now, here are the three highest placing winners!

2nd Place (Tied) with 8% of the vote: Dark Link, from Ocarina of Time.

2nd Place (Tied) with 8% of the vote: Ghirahim, from Skyward Sword.

And finally, with an astounding 29% of the final vote, 1st Place: Koloktos, from Skyward Sword.

Yes, the multiple-sword swinging Eastern automaton Koloktos has absolutely decimated its competition, taking well over a quarter of the results in a poll with over fifty options. Now, for the winner of the weekly Award of Meaninglessness, coming to us this week from user AShadowLink:

“Helmaroc King from The Wind Waker. I never imagined smashing a bird’s skull with a humongous hammer would feel so satisfying.”

(For the record, Zelda Informer in no way condones the smashing of bird’s skulls). Yes! For that lovely bit of sardonic humor, I award AShadowLink with the following medal:

Thank you all for participating in this week’s poll - come back tomorrow for the next poll. Stay strong!
