But wait, there’s more Pokemon news! As you may recall, during the E3 3DS conference Scott Moffitt briefly brought up two apps exclusive to the 3DS eShop that would be released alongside Pokemon Black and White 2 as supplements. One of these was Pokemon AR Searcher. We know that the game lets you acquire exclusive Pokemon to transfer to the new games, but how so?In this game, you’ll be going to Dream Valley and meeting up with a new character named Professor Burnett(I guess the tree motif is gone for good, huh?). He gives you a device that allows you to search for Dream Clouds. Pokemon lurk within these clouds, and it’s up to you to lure them out by assaulting the clouds.
Once you’ve got a Pokemon in your sights, you must try to catch them-using your upgradeable capture beam-before time runs out. When you have caught enough Pokemon in this way, you’ll have the opportunity to go up against legendaries such as Thundurus, who is sporting a new form.
Look forward to this, Pokedex 3D Pro, and Pokemon Black and White Version 2 in Fall 2012.
