Mr. Miyamoto and Bill Trinen just announced Pikmin 3. The game will use the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk for more precise control over your Pikmin for more accurate throwing, motion controls for certain moves like charging, as well as new Pikmin types, including a new rock-based Pikmin. The HD resolutions also make it easier to see things in gameplay, including the tiny Pikmin.
The same classic management gameplay is back, and amped up significantly. You can now build more complicated objects using materials in your surroundings, and you’ll have four Pikmin leaders in addition to just one.
Apart from the Wii Remote, you can also use the Wii U GamePad for map control. The GamePad can also be used to control the game exclusively.
