• Monster Hunter 3G - it's all up to CapcomNintendo obviously worked very hard with Capcom to bring the Monster Hunter franchise over to Nintendo systems - they may never have said so in so many words, but I think it’s pretty clear that an expanded handheld port of Tri wouldn’t have been the showcase of a 3DS related informational event near the tail end of last year otherwise. I suppose it’s no surprise - Monster Hunter is Japan’s equivalent of Call of Duty, a great asset to any system. In America, we haven’t quite seen the same level of fanfare, however.

According to David Gibson, who keeps tabs on a number of investor-related events, Nintendo’s leaving the decision to bring Monster Hunter 3G West up to Capcom. Meanwhile, Capcom’s comments on the subject are as vague as ever. I wonder whether we’ll hear anything at E3? (Incidentally, now that I’m done with Xenoblade Chronicles I theoretically have a lot more time to go back and give Tri another try, right?)
