Reggie has just confirmed a new 3DS model, the Nintendo 3DS XL, which is set to be released on August 19th (the same day as New Super Mario Bros. 2)The system features 90% larger screens, a bundled 4 GB SD card, and longer battery life. The system will be available in Red and Blue (similar to Cobalt Blue).
While the system does feature many updates to concerns about the original system, it does not feature a second Circle Pad. This seems like a controversial move for Nintendo, with 3DS sales being less than stellar last year, but we’ll see how it works out for them.
