Animal Crossing for the 3DS was announced at E3 2010, and we saw a little more footage of the game at E3 2011. We’ve been expecting the game for over two years, yet we haven’t even seen an official name or box art, let alone a release date. The game did not appear on a list of 3DS games coming this year at the E3 3DS conference this year, implying that we won’t see the game until at least 2013. We didn’t even know if the game was still in development…until now.
During Japan’s Nintendo Direct conference, Nintendo pulled Animal Crossing out of the dark hole it had been buried in and showed off a trailer. Why the game wasn’t shown off during other conferences, I know not. We probably won’t be getting it until well after the Japanese it would appear.
You want to see the trailer, right? It is in Japanese, of course, but at least you can see the game in action right? Alright then, here it is:
What do you think? Are you eagerly anticipating news about the US version of the game? Sound off in the comments.
