New Super Mario Bros. 2 Originally Titled “New Super Mario Bros. Gold”

As I’m sure you have all realised by now, New Super Mario Bros. 2 has a very large focus on golden coins, golden mushrooms, golden enemies, and golden characters. In fact, the game seems to have an obsession with the color gold itself. As revealed by a recent Iwata Asks, the game was originally going to be title “New Super Mario Bros. Gold”. I actually prefer this title to the current one, I guess just because it sounds different and more interesting than normal. Nonetheless, it is just a title, and it does kind of make the game sound like a Collector’s Edition.Which of the two titles do you prefer?
