New Mega Man Project in the Works?

It’s common knowledge that Mega Man hasn’t starred in a game for some time now, and has lost many opportunities to do so. At this point, many have started to believe that Capcom has given up on the series. Contrary to this popular belief, though, Capcom may have something up their sleeve. According to a Twitter message from series concept and manga artist Hitoshi Ariga, “The new Mega Man project is moving along, but the official announcement has yet to be made.”This new project could be anything from an art book to a soundtrack to a brand new Mega Man game. While the former two are very likely, recent evidence points more toward the latter. In an interview with UDON Entertainment, Ariga said that he is “Also helping with some game work.”. In a following tweet, Ariga said that the project will be “worth the wait!” It’s definitely been hard to wait this long, but hopefully this means an end is in sight for this harrowing drought of Mega news.
