Not too long ago, a new IP by Harvest Moon series creator Yasuhiro Wada debuted online. If you haven’t watched the teaser trailer, voila. Iwada-san discusses Project Happiness with Siliconera, mentioning how his childhood in a small and charming town in Japan was central to his work inspirations, and how moving to a big city made him miss the connections and community he previously had, as a child.
”I have been involved developing Harvest Moon for fifteen years, as the ‘father’ of the series and I consider it as if it was my own child. Now, that fifteen years have passed I consider Harvest Moon has grown up. Looking back fifteen years ago, I wanted to think about the ideas I had before I created Harvest Moon and incorporate them into a new game.”
Project Happiness will be published by Natsume in North America, in 2013, on “multiple platforms”.
