• Not too long ago, a new IP by Harvest Moon series creator Yasuhiro Wada debuted online. If you haven’t watched the teaser trailer, voila. Iwada-san discusses Project Happiness with Siliconera, mentioning how his childhood in a small and charming town in Japan was central to his work inspirations, and how moving to a big city made him miss the connections and community he previously had, as a child.
I have been involved developing Harvest Moon for fifteen years, as the ‘father’ of the series and I consider it as if it was my own child. Now, that fifteen years have passed I consider Harvest Moon has grown up. Looking back fifteen years ago, I wanted to think about the ideas I had before I created Harvest Moon and incorporate them into a new game.

More details on the game include:
    • The ability to make seven wishes
    • The ability to choose one wish per game
    • Pokémon illustrator Atsuko Nishida created the sprite you see in the trailer, which will be a navigator in-game.
    • This sprite has its own story, which changes depending on the way you play the game and the way it unfolds

Project Happiness will be published by Natsume in North America, in 2013, on “multiple platforms”.
