Earlier today, we reported that Halo 4 received a new trailer and demo at this morning’s Microsoft E3 2012 press conference - we now have said videos. Halo 4 marks the largest shift in the series’ history. As Bungie has left from development duties, 343 Industries has taken over - and they’re introducing a vividly different take on the universe.
Bizarre alien technologies, vibrant jungles, wild enemy designs, gameplay advancements and more. 343 said they planned to really change up the Halo formula, and it looks like they’re making good on that promise. The trailer below is primarily live action and acts to set up the story, with a bit of gameplay added on the end (notice Cortana going crazy):
The demo is considerably more substantial, showing Master Chief slogging through a beautiful rain forest - and being attacked by robot wolf/insect things. I won’t spoil the whole thing in text. Suffice to say it’s got me excited.
