Microsoft is just about ready to wrap up, but before they go, it’s time for some good old Call of Duty, and when I say good, I mean expected and incredibly hyped up.
The trailer they’re showing seems to be a demo. It starts with you on board a truck where you receive your mission instructions, then transitions to the caravan ahead of you getting destroyed before having you wake up and finally enter gameplay mode.
While the gameplay portion of the demo starts with you in the traditional FPS perspective, it quickly switches to you having to crawl weaponless through the rubble while trying not to pass out or die, while still maintain a first-person perspective; it’s nice to see the variation. Of course, it quickly switches back to the classic gameplay style the series is known for, while having several story events happening around you, recreating the chaos of war. While your teammates head down into the fray, you stay above and have some fun sniper times with your scope (a gameplay mechanic that would work nicely on the Wii U). The demo trailer then jumps ahead again to some classic fighting in abandoned public areas and streets. Finally, the demo finishes with some jet flying through the city, featuring some lovely cloud effects and explosions; it really looks great.

Black Ops II will launch on November 13. 2012
