Machinima Ten FTW: Top 10 E3 Moments

Popular top ten feature “Ten FTW” has created a list of what they believe are the top 10 moments in E3 history, and the list is…staggering. No, not staggering in reminiscing about all the great E3 moments in the past - staggering in the sense that this is quite possibly the worst “Top E3 Moments” feature I’ve ever seen. When it’s bad enough to cause every person in the site staff chat to either laugh or groan, you know you’re in trouble. From the near-drunken slurring of the one host to the sheer lackluster choice of moments, this is a very, very sad list. Read below for the video and a breakdown. 10: Saint’s Row the Third carwash
9: Mr. Caffeine (Ubisoft’s 2011 Host)
9: Booth Babes’ 2009 Return
7: Battle Tag (Ubisoft’s 2010 Home Laser Quest Simulator)
6: Ninety-Nine Nights II Announcement
5: Project Natal (Kinect) Unveiling
4: Playstation 3 Price Reveal
3: 2004 Twilight Princess Reveal
2: Sega Saturn Day
1: Playstation 1 Price Drop
Now, here’s the question: is this list a parody or not? I’m inclined to believe it is, and yet it has the Twilight Princess reveal and original Playstation price drop as some of the entries. If this is a parody, where is the mention of the wondrous Jamie Kennedy show in 2007? If this is real, where is the astounding 2006 Halo 3 debut? Whatever the true purpose of this list is, it manages to lose out on mentioning some of the greatest moments (for better or worse), while mentioning fairly unimportant aspects (like the Saint’s Row car wash, really?)
