King of Fighters-Inspired Game in the Works for 3DS

If you may recall, the 3DS was initially saturated with fighting games. Street Fighter, BlazBlue, and Dead or Alive were some of the most prominent games in the handheld’s early library. Recently, though, the fighting genre hasn’t been getting much love on the 3DS. But it looks like Nicalis hasn’t forgotten about that.They’re publishing a new game called Yatagarasu by Circle Edge. Circle Edge is a team comprised of developers who previously worked for SNK on the critically acclaimed King of Fighters series. In fact, the three-man team is taking direct inspiration from the games for Yatagarasu, using the detailed sprites and fast-paced gameplay that series is known for. No release date has been given, but it has been confirmed that Yatagarasu will be released in America and Europe via the eShop. If the wait is already killing you, then you should consider going to PAX Prime- Nicalis will have a playable demo on-hand.
