Digital Retail Live In Japan, Already Experiencing Server Issues

Onitore and New Super Mario Bros. 2 have now been released as digital downloads for Japanese 3DS owners, along with the launch of the 3DS LL (or 3DS XL outside of Japan). Almost immediately, Japanese players had issues downloading their digital games, but Nintendo claims the problem has been fixed.

The games went on sale at 9:00 am in Japan, and problems were encountered very soon after.

Hopefully the same problem will not reoccur when New Super Mario Bros. 2 is released digitally in North America on August 19th and Europe on August 17th.
