• With a new incentive offer from GAME UK to trade in your existing 3DS for a new 3DS XL plus £79.99, their seems to be a fair amount going into making this system sell strong. Iwata and Nintendo R&D rep Takashi Murakami have also recently addressed concerns that the much larger screen amplifies imperfections and low res textures on the two screens, like the DSi XL before it. They assure that although this is true, it is barely noticeable and the “100 ppi2 benchmark to view good 3D images” has been met ...3D on the new system is more effective and easier to enjoy.

It all comes down to whether you are generally sold on the product. Why would you make the switch? Why stick to the older handheld? Black and Red are worldwide launch colors, while Blue will launch worldwide except in Japan, Silver will skip North America, and White will exclusively be out in Japan. Do you like the idea of a 90% larger screen for your handheld? Have you, like me, just recently put your hard earned Club Nintendo points toward a Mario/Luigi pouch (for the smaller DS product line)? Is it simply more money without much return on investment?
