The Zelda Dungeon Informer Marathon ended a little over a week ago. Staff members from both Zelda Informer and Zelda Dungeon played through the entire Zelda series in the span of a week and, teaming up with viewers, raised an even $5,000 for Extra Life. Considering the fact that the original goal was $2,000, that’s an amazing accomplishment, and it’s all going to such a wonderful cause! Now that the marathon is over, what did you guys think, if you…

Perhaps two of the greatest mysteries in the Zelda franchise are the origin of the demons, and their intentions. Multiple games feature demons in some capacity, but perhaps the two most informative examples are Skyward Sword and Spirit Tracks.  Dr. Wily has provided a wonderful video that explains these topics to us. Skyward Sword features both the Demon King Demise as the game’s final boss, as well as a demon named Batreaux. Batreaux wishes to be human so people won’t be terrified by him. By gathering Gratitude…

There is something fundamentally special about forest themes in the Zelda series. Many of them deliver a light, cheerful atmosphere, all the while signaling an attitude of child-like discovery. One of my personal favorites happens to be the Kokiri Forest theme from Ocarina of Time; so imagine my delight to see that The Team Players recently released a great acoustic cover of the timeless tune.

The first round of Breath of the Wild DLC has released, and with it comes the Tingle outfit. Approaching villagers while wearing it has some pretty hilarious results. Approaching townspeople while wearing it causes them to assume a defensive or startled posture, complete with facial animations. Furthermore, if you run around them, they will follow your movements, as if expecting you to try something. I think this is pretty hilarious. Tingle is a character with pretty divisive opinions, and I think…

The Sand Seals in Breath of the Wild are definitely one of the more interesting rides I’ve gotten from something or someone in a video game. That’s of course if you don’t count using Luigi as a makeshift surfboard in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Anyways, these desert-based marine mammals are definitely a unique way of getting around the Gerudo Desert. For one pair of Zelda fans though, they’re also apparently good at being adorably cute. This creative duo known…

Breath of the Wild: Before the Fall Before the revelation of the chosen hero, before the fall of Hyrule, there was an uneasy peace. It was always understood that evil lurked just over the horizon. Follow the story leading up to the great calamity and see just how the heroes of Hyrule came to be. Metal hit rock with a clang as the lightweight sword slashed through the air, missing its target.  The hard hit reverberated through the hands of…

Only Nintendo can come out of left field with an announcement like that of the New 2DS XL. Remember all the hints and teasers leading up to the possibility of a new addition to the DS family? Neither do I. However, as far as announcements go, Nintendo might have just excited us all about a handheld console we never even knew we wanted. Compared to the original 2DS, the New 2DS XL has 82% larger screens while remaining lightweight and still…

Fast traveling between shrines in Breath of the Wild is now a thing of the past when you can just fly your very own Guardian through the skies of Hyrule. YouTube user nesis has put together a video guide that takes us step by step on how to fly a Guardian. It sounds difficult, but nesis makes it look so easy. All they use is the Guardian, a raft, the Cryonis rune, and a Korok leaf. Can you imagine trying to get a…

After a week off, Andy and I are back to talk about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Switch. What else did you think we were going to talk about? For those of you worried about spoilers, fret not. We made a conscious effort to avoid getting into spoiler territory. Instead, we just discuss overall opinions of the game as well as a few standout moments from it. Then, for those of you that want to hear…
