In my quest to be the very best Zelda fan I can be, I try to play at least three to five Zelda titles per year in addition to everything else I want to play (and continue every day life as well). To kick off 2017, I decided I’d start with a classic: A Link To The Past. After playing and beating it though, I felt compelled to do something I’d never done, and that was play and beat it’s…

A sure-fire way to stir the pot in the Zelda Informer kitchen is to bring up the Nintendo DS entries in the The Legend of Zelda series. Both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were fun, quality Zelda titles that sold well and received acclaim in their own right, but both of them also attract a lot of criticism for how they play. On one hand, you’ll find some is us at Zelda Informer who absolutely love both titles, and swear…

Good day, all. I hope you ready to participate in Zelda Informer’s Photoshop Contest during this nice, bright weekend. Valentine’s Day is almost here, and no doubt many couples are heading out in the next day or two to share a nice time together. Meanwhile, there are just as many hopeless romantics just hoping the lover of their dreams will sweep them away this weekend. When it comes to hopeless romantics in the Zelda universe, one name pops to mind:…

First, for those of you subscribed to the Zelda Informer YouTube page, that has now become the Nintendo Prime YouTube account. From now on, I’ll be uploading the Podcast to the Zelda Dungeon YouTube. Now that that’s out of the way, this week, we have a returning guess, Andy Spiteri, who is one of our writers for Zelda Informer. Since Nate couldn’t make it, Andy was more than willing to step in. This week, we discuss a bunch of fan…

Last year, the ever-popular Zelda Dungeon Marathon was re-branded as the Zelda Informer Marathon, (ZD-i Marathon). This year it will be back in full force on July 15th to raise money for Extra Life. Here is the official press release from ZD-i management: It’s official! The Zelda Dungeon Informer Marathon will return this year on July 15th! We will be playing games from the Legend of Zelda series to support Extra Life Charity! To kick things off we have this…

Greetings, all you ZI fans. I may be a day behind, but our weekly Caption Contest isn’t quite gone yet. We’re still continuing our showcase of Breath of the Wild images in the weeks leading up to the game’s release, with this week’s image spotlighting the newest incarnation of the Great Fairy. She’s as terrifying as she’s ever been, and she’s perfect for your captioning assaults.

I’ll never forget my first time playing The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. It somehow managed to step into the giant shoes of Ocarina of Time and emerge from that classic game’s shadow due to it’s quirky gameplay mechanics and, well, overall oddness. Of course, one of the best things about the game was collecting all of the different masks, particularly the ones that let you transform into something else. The ultimate reward for all your mask collecting efforts? The…

While we are just a few weeks away from the release of Breath of the Wild, we still actually haven’t seen too much of the game itself. Almost all of the extensive footage that we have viewed takes place within the first area of the game, the Great Plateau. We’ve only had small glimpses of anything off the Plateau. Bokoblins have been the enemies of choice for the Great Plateau, appearing virtually everywhere. Additionally, we’ve had small glimpses of Keese,…

The closer we get to Breath of the Wild’s release, the more information we get on the game. Between last week’s interviews and this week’s interview from IGN, we’re learning a lot about the game. This week, we cover a few different things: the IGN interviews, the Famitsu scans, and my (Alfred’s) experience at PAX South 2017. We hope you enjoy this week’s podcast! As an aside: Nate’s video was doing some weird stuff framerate wise, so I did my…

The excruciatingly long wait for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost over after its announcement nearly three years ago. During the long wait time, we’ve learned a lot about the game—the games premise, how Shrines will work, even how Link catches and rides horses. Another significant detail we learned was that you will be able to widley customize Link’s armor and clothing for the first time. Of course, Link’s attire has been a taking point among…
