First off: let me say I am happily surprised at catching ourselves and taking down a post after an hour, somehow coudn't slip the post by anyone. Zelda Wii is a very hot topic, and I don't want to misinform people. Thing is, this image above is 100% fake. It was claimed by a fan of ours from Japan to be from an idea gathering at Nintendo for the next game. While it could, technically, be true it was for an idea gathering, that gathering would have been for Twilight Princess. Outside of the fact our photoshop experts pretty much state that this is nothing more then a crappy made up photo, every single character is a model from ripped from the game. So yes, it's fake. Understand why this post was originally taken down now? We hate to give people false hope. Stay tuned, as later today I discuss the finer points of the rumors that have surfaced in the last couple weeks.

Nate, thank you for reposting this.
You're right to take down things that you notice are faked. No doubt there will be a flood of fake rumors and images coming out this year along with the real leaks. And it's likely some of the rumors we have already are not true or misleading too.
That said, this image is pretty dark anyway.
Also, it does look TP-esque, though I don't recognize the two races farthest in the back...it's smart of a faker to add in some new characters and put them in as the darkest and smallest of the five...
@Jupiter
The one on the left is the Skull Kid... The one on the right may be one of his dolls, but I'm not sure...
And posting this fake stuff is useful, evn if it's only to tell everyone it's fake...
The one on the right is one of the twilight creatures standing straight up (that's the way they are posed when put in a 3D program.)
This is of TP characters, no doubt about it.
From left to right: Skull Kid, Zora, Link, Goron and one of those lizard men from the Temple of Time.
The one on the far right is definitely the normal Lizalfos you see all over the place in TP... The ones with axe heads on their tails. It looks like there's something behind the Zora, but I can't tell what it is.
Why did you repost this, though? Were people asking you to? ...Also, why is the image so much bigger than last time?
I was wondering why the article was suddenly taken down. So it the image is fake huh? Oh well. This was an amusing little diversion.
Agreed that the two in the back are the Skull Kid and Lizalfos

It's kind of reassuring that they are fake, since it looks sooooo much like TP, it would be kind of a bummer if the new game looked so similar.
the sillhouette on the right looks like zelda...
well if the official art we have so far is the same style as TP then it'd be alright to assume the graphics and style are as they are in TP. i can see the belt holding link's seath is going diagonally like it normally does, but link should be right-handed in zelda wii ( :( )
This is a very very very BAD fake.
I agree, i am very pleased to nkow that this is fake, i also wanted the next game to not have the same graphics as TP.
"Understand why this post was originally taken down now? We hate to give people false hope."
So why don't you take down the rumor posts too and the one where you made up some fan-fiction based on it?
Why are you still entertaining those bullshit rumors yet take this one down for a hypocritical reason? I'm just trying to gauge what your logic is here is.
@A - One of the rumors we call out as fake. The other rumors we can tell you if they are fake or not. They existed back in November, and the first bullet point was proven to be true the next month. So, there is some reason to at least entertain the thought.
@Nathanial Rumphol-Janc
Who says they've been out since November? I haven't seen any sources for the rumors outside of word of mouth from people (including you) claiming they were from 2ch. And the information you're referring to is old anyways and was reported back in November by IGN and even on this site that same day. The rumors you have posted have confirmed absolutely NOTHING that we didn't already know.
And yes, there are several reasons to dismiss them as false. Some of the information is too trivial and mundane to be part of a leak. Two of the points regarding the girl and the sword are so poorly written that they contradict themselves. And all the points regarding the story still being polished/worked on are just absurd at this point in development when we have a tentative release date of sometime this year.
In the end, it sounds like something that was tailor made for sites that eat up all speculation without reviewing the facts.
I don't see where the fun is, looking at TP pictures in low quality...
Oh, wait, watching people trying to convince someone, probably themselves, that it could be true... eh-eh-eh...
@A - Here is the best source I can give you

@Nathanial Rumphol-Janc
Not convincing in the slightest. As far as I'm concerned the rumor was never posted on 2ch and the poster in that thread made the story up to divert attention from himself and bandwagon on 2ch's questionable reputation as leaking game information (there's never been a Nintendo game leak on that site, not even for SSBB as several posters point out in that thread). However it's people like you that are most at fault for blowing the rumors out of proportion.
@A
How did I blow them out up? I posted about them... and thats that. So I made an article around them? So? I mean, not sure what I did that was out of the norm. Rumors came up, I posted about them. So whats the problem?
lol they can't get us that easy
