Ah yes, the first update of the weekend brings some interesting news. The last time we heard this was from a Japanese newspaper that reported on Mr. Iwata stating that Zelda Wii is coming this year. Much of the report was later refuted, and Reggie Fils-Aimé stated the game will come when it's perfect. This show is the official "Nintendo of Europe" show on the Nintendo Channel in Europe, so what they say is pretty much straight from Nintendo. It is only mentioned briefly, but they too said that Zelda Wii is coming this year, lumping it with Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Other M, and Epic Mickey.

No one gets accurate release dates, until a physical date is set. Often times, the publishers themselves don't know when it's coming, but the fact twice now it has been said 2010 lets you know the game is getting very close to being ready.
Before this I went with the 50% chance of it coming out this year.
Now I'd go with somewhere in the 60% - 70% chance
This is some good news. As long as the game comes out, no matter when, I am happy. I have beaten every Zelda game and am highly anticipating this one.
Ive beaten every Zelda game except for Oracle of Ages and Seasons, that goddamn Goron dancing game ruined them for me.
It's going to come out this year- staking my nonexistent reputation on it! So they're saying it's going to have an E3 debut, which gives them about a five month window to release it here (or wherever "you" happen to be). Yes yes, I know about Twilight Princess, but they introduced that game fairly early in its development cycle. Zelda Wii, by most accounts, began development shortly before Twilight Princess was released. I'm pretty sure this game is nearly done. Nintendo is most likely trying to hold off a climax in hype until shortly before the games release.

Are you guys serious? They've confirmed Zelda Wii for 2010 like 9 times already. Seriously, this is OLD news.
And why are you guys all "I'm not sure if it'll come out this year..." when they've been saying so since June practically.
I wouldn't necessarily call this a confirmation, we in Europe don't always get the most accurate information when it comes to release dates. I still see the confusion over the release date as essentially being a cover up for a delay they fear might happen. They want to release it in 2010 but it might still get pushed back as Zelda games often do.
