I'm going to be a little critical of this game because it is following the best Zelda game released since over five years ago. But I expect it to be even better than Spirit Tracks, and Ocarina of Time!

This is awesome on epic proportions. I am happier right now than I was on christmas opening my presents.

I would imagine a Novemeber-December release for Japan, and maybe a Late Janurary-early Feburary for US and Europe if Nintendo manages a release this year.

Sounds alright. It's been awhile since TP too, so it's plausible. However, I hope they don't start to leak a lot of stuff around E3 to build hype. It's more fun when you don't really know what to expect, like with Spirit Tracks, which was far a better game than anything since Wind Waker.

Excellent. I'll start the year with Mass Effect 2 move on to FFXIII then The Old Republic followed by Super Mario Galaxy 2 and wrap it up with Zelda Wii!

I have to disagree. The trend lately has been to get the Zelda games to the US as quickly as possible, usually on the same day, or within a couple weeks of the Japanese release.

ST actually got released in the US and Europe before Japan.

Either way, I expect this to be pretty universally released by the end of the year. REJOICE.

And Reggie can go suck a big one for refusing to commit to a Zelda release in 2010.

We haven't got a trailer yet for this game or any screenshots.... I don't think it will come out this year.. maybe early next year... It will probably be delayed...

Last year, New Super Mario Bros. Wii was unveiled.... and then released.

Don't forget that folks. They also revealed ST... and released it, same year. It seems to be a new trend, so it is highly plausable. Satura Iwata says it is coming this year... so I am more inclined to believe the President of Nintendo over fan speculation.'t

Also, why wouldn't they leak stuff around E3 to build hype if the game is coming out this year? They would want to build hype to drive sales. Sure, what they did with ST was "neat", but it certaintly didn't drive the sales. We knew nothing about it until a month before release, and then we knew EVERYTHING.

You know what they did with New Super Mario Bros. Wii? Expect teh same thing. Anounced, Trailer, and then it's all they talk about right up to release. It worked to really drive sales of that game, and would do the same for Zelda. The only they they can't afford to do is pull a TP. Announce it, build a lot of hype, and then delay it. It appears they learned there lesson, so I fully expect a release this year, as is planned.

they already started with this game a few months after twilight princess, so they had all the time to add stuff and so, i think they're just doing the details/graphics this year.

This is great! I think that Nintendo knows that by now they don't to build up the hype, especially because this next game will sell a LOT just because it's a Zelda game. I actually prefer it this way because if the trailer was released a year or more before the actual game released, I would probably die or anxiety. This probably won't happen, but what if they announced the game just a few days before it was released? That would be AWESOME!! But no matter what, happens, I can't wait for some sword fightin' epona ridin' living sword wieldin' tunic wearin' boss stabbin' puzzle solvin' princess savin' arrow shootin' spin attackin' rupee spendin' side questin' fun!

Satoru Iwata isn't part of any of the software teams and he probably has no idea when the actual Zelda team thinks they'll be ready to release Zelda Wii.

He probably just sound that to please the fans and if he rushes the team in charge of the game to get it out early it will not live up to it's potential.

Plus, in another translation he said ''We would like to get Zelda Wii out before the end of 2010.''

They said Sprit Tracks would come out same year; it did. New Super Mario Bros. as well. It's much better to compare Nintendo to Nintendo last year as opposed to Nintendo 4 years ago.

I'm so excited!!! I haven't touched my Wii for three months because I've played through TP countless times, and every other game that I own for it isn't worth replaying. Now my Wii will get a workout! Now all we have to do is wait and hope that it actually happens.

If this is real... thank god. I'm crossing my fingers that they reveal as little before release as is absolutely necessary to hype it up. I want total surprise, and I want it to be so difficult I'm ready to stomp my Wii into tiny pieces. I want to feel accomplished when I beat it.
