Disclaimer: This is a personal list and does not represent the views of the ZeldaInformer staff has a whole. The list is numbers 5 - 1, where 1 is the worst boss and 5 is the 5th worse. Note that while none of the Zelda bosses are bad, this list is mostly for discussion purposes then an attempt to be an absolute bottom feeder list. With that said, read on and enjoy.
#5 - Zant - Twilight Princess
Zant's faults as a boss are more the events of the game that lead up to him. As he was being built as some epic encounter, he just didn't deliver. This is the same guy that earlier in game almost killed Midna and threw Link around like a rag doll. The fight was somewhat unique by revisiting all the older boss grounds, but also unimaginative in that you beat him in the same way you beat those bosses. The fight was overly easy, and throughout the fight I never felt threatened. Still, the fight mostly suffers from "main guy in story, dissapointing ending" syndrom. Zant was made irrelevant by Ganondorf, and frankly the fight felt the same way.
#4 - Big Green ChuChu/Octorok - The Minish Cap
The two bosses weren't necessary bad fights, but they are the most unoriginal bosses in the entire series. It's like Capcom had no ideas for anything unique, so lets take normal sized over-world enemies and make them bosses! They are "almost" just as easy to defeat as they are in the over-world, but really they make this list because they are lame excuses for bosses with almost no originality.#3 - Gyorg - Majora's Mask
#2 - Armogohma - Twilight Princess
#1 - Majora - Majora's Mask
This does conflict with the staff's selection for the top 10 bosses earlier this year, where Majora finished at #5, but I just don't personally feel he is worthy of that list.
In the end, there really is no such thing as a "bad" boss in the Zelda world, but there is such as thing as "not as good as others". Now that my personal bottom 5 has been made, whats the worst boss fights for you? What are your bottom 5?

o wow i think that Armogohma was an amazing boss it was rilly fun and hav u ever tryed to beat majora with just link himself? and i also liked the zant fight it was awesome.
Ironically, I find these to be (some of) my favorites.
Wow. I disagree with most of those. Particularly Gyorg. His fight was exhilarating just for the fear factor:
"Alright, I zapped him. Just have to make it back to the platform. OK, I'm gonna make it, I'm gonna make it. Home-free! Jump for the platfor-AHHHHH!!!! NOOO! HE GOT M-glub glub" (pulled beneath the dark water)
Fyrus from twilight princess was the worst boss fight I ever had. He walked so slow and you just had to shoot him with a arrow and grab a chain three times and you win, no second part to it. In the trailer I think I saw another part of it but it probably got cut for time making it the most boring, most easiest 40 foot fire monster I ever fought.
I'm sorry but Majora's Mask doesn't deserve to be there.
Simply because anyone who hadn't read a guide of some sort would likely not know that they need every mask to unlock the Fierce Deity mask until they get to the moon... at which point it's too late and most would likely jump straight into the fight with Majora.
In which case without the mask the fight is dynamically different. Just because someone choose to take the easy way out and use the Fierce Diety mask to fight Majora that's their loss. You can't simply penalize Majora as a bad boss because of the Mask without penalizing every boss in Majora's Mask... since you can only use the mask in Boss rooms... so why not make the 5 worst bosses Odalwa, Goht, Gyorg and Twinmold with Majora since they are all defeated in an instant with the Fierce Deity mask.
I would agree with Fyrus being worse then Armaghoma though...? Fyrus was just this flaming shadow who didn't deliberately try and attack me but more or less wandered mindlessly around the arena. Armaghoma may have been easy but at least it had a laser eye which presented some degree of threat.
You rated Majora as the worst of all time because it was easy if you found the secret Fierce Deity mask? That's like saying El Gigante is a terrible boss in RE4 because he's cake with the Infinite Rocket Launcher.
I will say I love the majora fight - without the fierce deity mask. Really, if they wanted to include that mask they should have somehow made it HARDER to get. I don't know, it just made everything too simple.
Getting all the masks was too simple? Getting all the masks without some sort of guide would take considerable time and effort. You're not allowed to look at guides until AFTER you've beaten the game.
I completely agree with TheMaverickk and Josh.
And I think the Big Green Chuchu and Octorok in The Minish Cap was pretty original; you being the tiny one this time, and despite of that, Link still can defeat them.
I reckon that Goht from majora's mask was the worst. it was easy but it was just annoyingly time consuming
Majora without the FD mask is an amazing battle! Oni Link looks cool, but not fun to use.
Gyorg was fun for the sudden attacks on you.
The ChuChu was a good idea, but not an original FIGHT. The octorok was more dangerous.
If Zant was more... threatening (2 hearts pre hit) and BLOCKED attacks it would be okay. Armogohma definitely missed something though... big and excessively creepy... a toddler is more deadly. (Actually, try Zora's Armor, the fire beam does 8 hearts, not kidding).
"The fight was somewhat unique"...
What have I told you?...
I agree on your list for boss 'fights' but as you say- if we're basing it on character and general awesomeness Majora'd be way higher.
But the actual battle was pretty fail... unless you do it as Deku Scrub- THEN IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE GOD.
I disagree completely with this list. In my opinnion, these were all great boss fight.
i agree with the armoghoma fight, the desing of the boss was amazing, it actually scare me a little, but the fight was to damn easy, is not neseasy to take away any version of ghoma, but nintendo should make her batlle more difficult
I would say that Ganondorf's fight at the and of Wind Waker was the, not so much worst, but worst for me, mainly because when it started, he just kept slashing away (shield up or not), wasting away life. So it was pretty much "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Aw frack, used a fairy. Ow! Ow! Ow!" until my dad finally yelled at me to distract him by running around until Zelda was ready to fire, which took like, 20 tries just to line up with her! Jeeze! And frankly, Wind Waker's Gohma pretty much scared the frik outta me when I had to first face her (last part of the start cutscene that did it for me! It's just creepy!) and the music didn't help either! Especially for the second fight with her! Those would have to be my worst!
Ugh, my least favorite boss (well, it was a sub-boss)....that annoying as heck BUBBLE FROG in MM. >< Could not stand him and his (at least to me; others can argue) cheapness.
I thought the point of Zant was that he seems like this powerful imposing enemy at first, then when you actually fight him, it turns out he was just Ganondorf's puppet, and is actually really weak and unimaginative, borrowing ideas from previous bosses because he doesn't have any of his OWN power to use. His entire life, even imbued with Ganondorf's awesome power, Zant always was a total loser.
I do agree with most of the list, but I think the easiest boss was Fyrus. All you had to do was shoot arrows at the jewel on his forehead. DUH. SO EASY. And THEN it holds it's head and just randomly storms around the arena. REALLY EASY.

I kinda thought Armogoma's 2nd phase was funny... well, Link's face was.
Zelda boss fights almost always follow the same kind of ruitine to beat them to be frank... I do agree with you that some boss fights are a bit bland with Link attacks but I think Zant's battle - though unoriginal in itself - is unique to the point that a major boss hasn't has a fight like that. Yes it was easy, but loooong...
