For those of you who thinks it's unfair that the movie is being screened there and not near where you live, sign up for a hot spot on the site. If not, there's always low-quality YouTube videos.
If I could, I'd most certainly be there. It has been a while since I last seen the trailer for this movie, so I had to watch it again before dropping this here, and it looks like it kicks some serious ass. I advise all of you who live near New York City to check out the film, and be sure to tell us about it. For those of you who aren't, try signing up for a hot spot and get the film to come to a town near you.

I think the movie Sage of Darkness was finished, but I don't recall. You can find it on youtube I'm sure. It was...meh. They kinda destroyed the plot. I watched half of it and got bored.
this movie looks stupid
How can they spend so much money on CGI and yet screw up nearly everyone's costumes and miscast nearly everyone in the movie? Not to mention how they had virtually no regard for the actual storyline of OoT, i.e. kid goes on quest, kid meets princess, kid becomes adult and save the world. No, to save themselves horrible agony of working with child actors Link stays an adult throughout the film and the Kokiri's--who were always meant to be children to begin with, are played by adult actors as well. Face it everyone, this isn't the Zelda movie you've always wanted to see: in some ways this is far worse than even a Hollywood adaption would have been, and Hollywood writers do have a tendency to muck things up when it comes to game adaptions.
Ya know what Matt? Go make your own movie, and let's see if you can't do any better. Looks like a cool film to me. Besides, it's an indie movie; it doesn't have to match up perfectly with the storyline. If I made a Legend of Zelda movie, I probably would make up a new story. That's how they make new Zelda games isn't it?
All I can say is, *cross fingers* please come to Vegas, please come to Vegas, lol
"Ya know what Matt? Go make your own movie, and let's see if you can't do any better."
Thank you. Thank you for ignoring what I actually wrote and instead responding to what you wanted to think I wrote: "Hur hur, this movie is dumb! This sux, I can do better!" The cleverness and originality of your response astounds me. Clearly you have caught me off-guard, sir.
Annoyed sarcasm aside, my question was, quite clearly, why spend so much money on CGI monsters/backgrounds and miscast nearly everyone in the film. It would one thing if there were SOME miscastings. This is, after all, an indie film. But this is actually a big-budget indie film, so your "go make your own movie and let's see if you can't do any better." statement is nothing more than laughable bullshit that has nothing to do with what I was writing about. But you know, if I DID have the kind of money that went into the film I would have cast children in the roles of the Kokiris, and I wouldn't have hack-sawed the story in two by eliminating Link's younger years. This reeks of the sort of fans who only like to see Zelda as "badass" and see child actors and stories about children as too much of a bother to deal with. Therefore, as OoT fans, they've missed the point entirely.
Now if you're going to sit there and post another "try to do it yourself, you'll see" response, I won't even bother replying. Go watch the Super Mario Brothers movie or the Resident Evil movies if you like crappy videogame adaptions so much. Just don't criticize the one person who's unafraid to call these people out who think they're pretty hot shit for making an Ocarina of Time movie that has little to do with ocarinas or time.
I'm curious, is this the first, actually finished, semi-professional indie Zelda movie?
It's been a while since I watched the trailer, but I was pretty impressed at the time. Curious to see the reaction to this.
