There has been nothing spoken much of Zelda Wii lately, and things seem to be staying that way; however, in a recent Iwata Asks interview there was a slight mention. It was stated that the Zelda development team feel to be under immense pressure because of the graphics in Monster Hunter 3.
Nintendo and the Wii haven't necessarily been known for being a forerunner when it comes to realistic graphics, but it definitely looks like Nintendo is trying to give us a realistic experience with Zelda Wii. Although I can't wait for the new Zelda game, if it's delayed so that the graphics can be improved to be like Monster Hunter 3's, the extra wait will definitely be worth it. You can watch the trailer for Monster Hunter 3 below:

Nintendo is trying WAY too hard to appease grumpy fans...
in all the videos of Monstor Hunter 3 there are 'load' screens every couple of minutes, it doesnt matter how awesome the game looks if it stops for 'loading screens' all the time that would be a step in the complete wrong direction,
there are loading times up the A** in monster hunter i wouldnt sacrifice a seamless world for graphics so zelda team just needs to focus on their own game and not worry about others, they were never worried about graphics before why all of a sudden now
Monster Hunter 3 is quite sexy. I just wish Zelda would go with a more stylized look instead of uber-realistic. Mostly because uber-realistic looks uber-ugly 5 years down the road.
Zelda Wii needs to take notes from the new Prince of Persia, in my opinion, not Monster Hunter.
