If you were keeping track of yesterday's E3 roundtable with Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto, you'll recall mention of some concept art for the next Zelda title. Luckily, we've got a bit of a glimpse of it as well.
Yeah, the image quality is terrible, but this is still the first image we're getting for this much anticipated game.
If you can make much out of it, there is clearly an outline of Link and some other blue figure, speculated as being Zelda or a Zora by some. Too bad that the official announcement for this title won't be until next year. It's likely that this will be all that we have for a while.

That glowly thing is what is said to be Zelda, or a female Zora I think, but I really don't see how. That's a good point though that the sheild is again in his left hand for Wii controls.

Yet again I worry that they won't allow for left-handed play... we lefties have a right to feel the experience too!

Who knows?...
It looks to be a spirit or ghost to me. Maybe its just a giant Navi XD God wouldn't that be dreadful! Haha...
Or you know, maybe it's a glowing magic staff he has strapped to his back?
...The Shadow knows.
His sword is supposed to be where that glowy thing is. Perhaps it's a shape-shifting spirit-thing that can turn into weapons, including his blade. Since this is a wii Zelda that will possibly use motion+, his shield is depicted in his left hand despite the fact that Link is traditionally a lefty in swordsmanship. His right hand is empty, too. Just some thoughts.
