4. Chillin' Out: The Snow Realm

::::::Getting the Stamp Book and the Canon::::::

  • Board the train and go to Castle Town.
  • Head north to the castle and, once inside, left to where Alfonzo is.
  • After a talk head back and talk to the teacher on your way out.
  • Head to the train and back to Aboda Village.
  • Go get the stamp book from Niko then head back to the train.

::::::Get to the Snow Temple::::::

  • Travel west and stop at Rabbitland Rescue.
  • Talk to the dude here to get the rabbit net.
  • Stay on that path and you'll enter the snow regions.
  • Take a right turn at the fork and dock at Anouki Village.
  • Once inside head north to the rocket rock and play Red-Yellow-Red-Blue
  • Enter the top-most house and talk to the Anouki here.
  • You have to arrange pairs of the villagers now. The correct pairing is:
    • Top Left + Bottom Right
    • Top Middle + Bottom Left
    • Top Right + Bottom Middle
  • Head back to the train and towards the tunnel the chief just showed you.
  • Once you reach the tunnel you'll be attacked by a stone monster.
  • Whenever it appears behind you, rapidly shoot it's eyeball with the canon until it collapses. Repeat a few times until it's dead.
  • Once in the sanctuary, run north to the entrance. Avoid the wolves, if possible; they're relatively hard to kill.
  • Once you reach the small ledge with the snow bulb, stun it with the Whirlwind and then kill it.
  • Inside of the cave, step on the switch then go up and right after you reach the middle statue.
  • Go down right away to avoid the middle-right one, and run up around its back.
  • Turn left, then right immediately to avoid that statue again and you'll be at the door.
  • Talk to Steem and play the song with him.
  • Jump your way down to the train and set path to Anouki Village.
  • After Zelda suggests it, head back to Anouki Village.
  • Talk to the chief then head east to the area where the evil train is.
  • Take a right turn at the first fork and stop at the first station.
  • Enter the house and check the map on the desk.
  • Run those 3 locations indicated while avoiding the evil train.
  • When you see a guy standing next to the road taking photos, stop next to him.
  • Blow to uncover the map, then note it down.
  • Set course to the temple!

::::::Getting the Boomerang::::::

  • Head into the temple, slice the frozen bushes and head up.
  • Push the bell up then hit it twice with your sword.
  • Go through the door that opened on the right.
  • Push the block right - down - left - up - right - up then jump across and go through the door.
  • Blow one of the spiked balls that the monster is shooting into the switch and cross to the other side.
  • Once down, push the block into the water, jump on it and spin the totem on the other side.
  • Using the Whirlwind, propel yourself to the ledge above.
  • Repeat the same procedure to get across the next pond.
  • Go all the way left and defeat the frost keese. In order to kill them you need to stun them with the Whirldwind.
  • Take the Boomerang from the chest.

::::::Getting to the Boss::::::

  • Go back right and hit the two switches with the Boomerang.
  • Go down to the first floor, and move south in front of the hole. Throw the Boomerang so it hits the switch on the unreachable ledge.
  • Push the bell down - left - up - left - down - right - down - left - down.
  • Throw the Boomerang so that it hits the big bell once, small bell twice and then big bell once again. Go through the door.
  • In this room throw the Boomerang so that it hits the torches in the follow order: middle - top right - bottom right - top left - bottom left.
  • In the next room have the Boomerang create a bridge for you by throwing it through the blue fire. You need to reach the bottom right ledge and get the key.
  • Go through the locked door behind you.
  • Defeat the enemies here by thawing them up with the boomerang and the fire.
  • Once the door is open have the Boomerang catch fire and hit the block of ice against the north wall to reveal a totem.
  • Go back down and make yourself a path across the water just far enough so you can spin the totem using the Whirlwind.
  • Finished the path and get to the top-right ledge.
  • Now slowly make your way across the lake to the other side. You can find a stamp on the far right ledge.
  • In the next room, ignore the bell for now and make yourself a path to the bottom-right ledge, and hit the switch.
  • Now push the bell up - right - down - left - up.
  • Create a frost path and push the bell to the right. Cross together with it.
  • Transfer the blue fire to the unlit torch in this room using the Boomerang.
  • Cover the small lake with ice, then push the bell down - left - down - left - up - right.
  • Hit the 3 bells in the following order with the boomerang: Big - Medium - Medium - Small - Medium.
  • Head north through the door.
  • You must light the 6 torches on the left with either blue or red fire. Start from the top one, going clockwise: Blue, Blue, Red, Blue, Red, Red. Note that you must light all 6 in one boomerang swing.
  • Cross the corridor to the other chamber.
  • Stun the wolves with the boomerang and finish them off with the sword.
  • Go right, and stand on the switch.
  • Move the Big Key to the bridge using the whirldwind.
  • Pick up the key and enter the boss room.

::::::Defeating Fraaz::::::

  • Once the fight starts, hit him with the Boomerang imbued with whatever is opposite to what he has.
  • While he is stunned, hit him with you sword!
  • Once he splits, hit one of the small ones with the Boomerang to see whether it's ice or fire based.
  • You need to hit the fire one with ice and vice versa once they're not transparent.
  • When he comes together again he will destroy the torches. Now, when he shoots fire at you it'll leave fire patches behind and frost will leave frost patches. You have to use those to stun him like before.
  • Always note whether he's charging up fire or frost.
  • Rinse and repeat, after 3 "gathered" phases he will go down.
